Ladies, Let's Do This: Celebrating Women Today & Every Day

Pact looooves the ladies, and we don’t mean that in the creepy way you may have read it in your head. We mean it in the girl-powering, sisterhooding, respecting-the-heck-out-of-women way. So, in celebration of National Women’s Day, we’re renewing our pact to the women of the world…

Today and every day, we promise to create planet-conscious clothes that empower your mind, fit your body, and free you to unleash the badass woman within. Here’s how:

1. THE FEMALE BRAIN AND BUTT AGREE: COMFORT COUNTS.

We want to keep you comfortable in your own skin. Period. End of story. That means giving you confidence up there (pretend we’re pointing to your head) and all the good feels there (gesturing to your whole bod). We use only the highest quality organic cotton on earth so that each piece of Pact clothing is so insanely soft that you might want to marry it. Okay, not legal, but we digress. We also want to be a brand you feel comfortable with value-wise, so we go all out on ethical practices. This way, you never have to question where your clothes on your back (and butt) came from. It’s comfort on every level for every lady. Guys too.

2.  OUR CLOTHES SUPPORT WOMEN (LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY).

That’s a bra joke, in case you didn’t quite catch it. But we’re not just here to kid around. We’re here to make a difference, and our Round Up Program is one of the ways we do it. This give-back initiative empowers you to create change with change. We’ll explain: when you place an order with Pact, we give you the opportunity to donate a dollar to a worthy cause. The Round Up Program recently funded stoves for women in India to provide a clean and safe place to prepare healthy meals for their families. We’ve also funded job training programs for women who had to drop out of high school.

3. MEET THE MAMA BEHIND OUR DESIGNS.

Tierra Del Forte is a force to be reckoned with, a mother of two, and the boss lady of our design team, aka VP of Product. Straight up: this chick knows organic clothing inside and out (and inside-out if she gets dressed in the dark). In a past work life, Tierra launched her own line of eco-denim made from organic cotton before it was a “thing.” And before joining Pact, she helped establish Fair Trade USA’s factory certification process. Now she heads up our product team and has a hand in designing every piece of clothing that we create. Fit. Fabrics. Flattering silhouettes. She does it all. Tierra’s philosophy: “Nothing is cute unless it’s comfortable.” We couldn’t agree more.

4. ORGANIC COTTON = A HEALTHY HOO-HA.

It’s true, ladies. Wearing cotton underwear isn’t just more comfortable than synthetic fabrics. It’s actually better for you. Cotton lets your lady parts breathe, which means less heat, less moisture and less unwelcome bacteria setting up camp in your undies. We source Fair Trade Certified organic cotton in India; we visit India twice a year to strengthen our relationships with the people we work with on the other side of the world. We want all the hardworking women out there to bring home the bucks they deserve, so we make it our business to put our money where our mouth is.

6. HELLO, HEAD-TO-TOE BASICS THAT NEVER HOLD A SISTER BACK.

As yourself or not at all. That’s the motto we live by each and every day. It means creating comfortable, well-fitting clothes that let you live out loud, be yourself and just wear you. It’s like we always say, “You’re the best part of any outfit anyway.” That’s why we design each piece of women’s apparel to hug the curves of the female physique in all the right places.
